Descripción del Tour:

We'll kick off our historical and cultural tour in the iconic historic center of the heroic city. You have the flexibility to choose a start time between 09:00 AM and 03:00 PM that suits you best.
The meeting point and our first stop will be the Clock Tower, a majestic structure marking the main entrance to the walled city. Constructed in the 19th century, this tower features a clock that continues to function to this day.
Just a short distance from the tower, we'll encounter the monument to Don Pedro de Heredia, the city's founder, who is notably recognized for his role as a slave trader and his impact on the indigenous population of the region. At this spot, our guide will delve into the city’s intricate history and emphasize the significance of the inclusion of diverse cultures that contribute to Cartagena's identity.
We'll then venture into the Walled City, an extraordinary enclosure of walls that surrounds the historic center. These fortifications were erected during colonial times to safeguard the city from pirate raids and enemy nations. Today, the walled city is an essential visit for anyone traveling to Cartagena.
Our journey continues to the heart of the historic center where we'll discover The Church of San Pedro Claver, a magnificent Baroque-style building dating back to the 17th century. Dedicated to the Spanish Jesuit missionary San Pedro Claver, it is celebrated today as “Slave of slaves” for his commitment to combating slavery in Colombia.
From there, we'll make our way to the Getsemaní neighborhood through serene alleys, cobbled pathways, charming churches, and quaint squares, each radiating its unique charm and character. We'll conclude our tour with a visit to Plaza de la Trinidad, a vibrant square where locals often gather to savor music and food.
